GIX Receives APU Grants - 1/20/2012 12:24:00 PM - Grand Island Express has been awarded a 2011 Nebraska Clean Diesel Rebate totaling $35,000 for the installation of ten new APU units. The grant funds will be used to help purchase ten new Thermo King Tripac units to be installed on ten of the new 2012 Freightliners. Thanks to help from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, GIX has been able to continue our commitment to reduce diesel emissions and improve air quality in Nebraska and other states.
